MEET THE MANAGER

Joe Lamich

Joliet General Manager

I have lived in the Chicago area my whole life.  I currently live in the western suburbs along with my wife of 28 years and my three children ranging in age from 23 to 16.

I began my career in the lumber industry in 1984 shortly after my graduation from Marquette University.  I spent most of my 30 year career with a family owned lumber yard in the Chicago area.  My first few years were spent working the sales counter to learn the business.  I was then promoted to outside sales and eventually to branch manager.  I managed various size yards throughout the years, ranging from a small one acre location to the largest yard in the company.

I joined Alexander Lumber Company in October 2012 as the assistant manager of the Joliet location.  In June 2014 I was named branch manager.  I am very excited to be working with a great group of employees and wonderful customers. I was attracted to Alexander Lumber because they are a family owned company that truly cares for their employees as well as their customers.  I look forward to growing our relationships with existing customers as well as developing relationships with new customers.  These relationships have always been, and always will be the foundations upon which any successful lumber yard has been built.
