I started my career in 1979, after serving in the Navy for 2 years, when I had the opportunity to purchase Broadway Perryville Lumber Co. in Rockford Il., In 1986 I ended up closing the lumber yard and had the opportunity to work for a chain yard, Wolohan Lumber Co. in 1987-1998 which was a multi-million dollar operation in Loves Park Il.  I furthered my experience with Wolohan Lumber  Co. when they gave me the chance to start up an door shop operation at the location in Loves Park.  In 1998 Wolohan Lumber Co. sold out to Stock Building Supply where I managed until 2008 when our industry experienced a nation wide slow down in housing and they decided to shut down their Midwest operations.  I then was afforded the opportunity to go to work for Alexander Lumber Co. in 2009 which is a privately owned company.

In my 36 years of experience in the lumber industry, I have come to learn that the number one goal is, excellence in customer service which is the foundation of any successful business.
