                                  Outside Sales Representative needed


The Outside Sales Rep (OSR) will focus on new business development by selling Alexander Lumber Co.’s full range of Building Materials products to customers and contractors in an assigned territory. The OSR will be working with and selling to contractors by meeting with them at their job sites, understanding their needs, and recommending solutions.

· Generating revenue through consultative selling, building customer relationships with new and      existing customers.
· Educate customers on Alexander Lumber Co’s product offering
· Prepare accurate and timely material estimates, professional presentation, timely follow through
· Order products, schedule deliveries to coincide with customer needs
· Find solutions to various issues that may arise.

Recommended Skills/Competencies:

  • Contractor Sales Experience Required
  • Experience in the Building Material’s industry with an emphasis on windows, doors, and millwork.
  • Organized, accurate, good attention to detail
  • Customer service minded
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and insurance.

CDL Delivery Driver

Alexander Lumber Company is seeking a full-time yard Delivery Driver for our Bloomington, IL  location. We are a growth oriented company that has 125 years of experience servicing the professional contractor, the remodeling contractor and do-it-yourself customers.

  • Safely operate a variety of delivery trucks to include: flat bed, box trucks, flatbed with TMF
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Assist customers
  • Operate forklifts
  • Keeps lumber yard and vehicles clean, well-organized and safe
  • This is a “whatever it takes to get the job done” type of position and will need to perform other duties as assigned


  • CDL Class B license with airbrake endorsement
  • Clean driving record
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Familiar with building materials including lumber species a plus
  • Previous experience in a lumber yard a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to work outdoors
  • Must take and pass a drug test and pre-employment assessment
  • Must consent to a background check

Job Brief

The Digital Marketing Specialist creates and maintains a strong online presence for our company. The role is to implement online marketing strategies through social media accounts, as well as work with our HR team on internal company marketing through our website.

If you know how to creatively handle various online marketing tools, like websites, videos and social media posts, this position is for you. You will work with different teams and selling locations to coordinate our marketing, advertising and promotional activities. A tech-savvy professional with an interest in communicating with clients through online channels is an ideal candidate.


  • Create engaging text, image and video content
  • Design posts to sustain readers’ curiosity and create buzz around new products
